International Activity
Our international activities are developed and managed by Kelag International. In Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia and in Kosovo we are concentrating on the development of hydro-electric power plants and energy trading. In Bulgaria and Romania wind power parks are under development. Some of the first projects are in operation while others are still under construction or are still in planning. Kelag International will continue to develop international projects that expand the effective utilisation of renewable energy in this part of Europe.
We see our core competences of energy production, energy trading and renewable energy projects like biomass, district heating and recycling industrial waste heat as keys for our international growth.
Through the acquisition of the Slovenian energy company Interenergo in the autumn of 2009 we were able to clearly secure our market position in Southeastern Europe. Now with Interenergo as a key subsidiary operating in this region, we are planning to intensify project development especially in the area of renewable energy.
